I had been talking to Chris about this for a while and a couple weeks ago I went ahead and ordered the hood. I got back from lunch at work today and I was surprised to see a very large, very light box there with my name on it. Popped it open to take a glance and inside was my cf Evo hood. I wasnt expecting it for at least another week, possibly two. Keep in mind these arent sitting on a shelf, they are made only when the order is placed.

I havent taken any pics because I havent really unpacked it all the way. Im not sure if I will or not seeing as Im not driving the car right now anyway. If I pull it out though, I will snap some pics. The thing looks amazing though! Very impressed with shipping times and everything.

The hood is actually a mold made from my stock hood which fit perfect so it should fit perfect as well, depending on how my front bumper sits, being the cuda 2.

Reason for posting is to give Chris some props. He has had a good number of sales with me with hoods and angel eyes and my LSD and I would definitely not hesitate to order anything I need through him. He is on top of things like never before and its really good to see!

Once again, thanks Chris! When I get this thing driving and at the track I will do my best to represent for you.

you will find out they dont use the OEM bolts to bolt it up, you will need smaller ones. with mine, I use the aerohood pins to bring the front down as there was some warpage but after being on for two weeks and the occasionally sun bake, it formed just fine.

make sure also you dont have a extended front locking loop like what happened to jongtr.

Ya I had smaller bolts with my VIS so I kinda figured these would be the same. I plan on fitting it next weekend probably to check how it is. I already plan on using the Aerocatch pins so hopefully I wont see any more issues than that. Are there pics anywhere of how you mounted your pins?

yeah, let me find them,lol.

I make L brackets and used some threaded holes that are behind our headlights. they aren't used for anything, must be for when they attach everything in the weld jig.

and it was very little fabrication on my part.

you will notice in the pics that i bent the edge over a there is rust showing and cracked paint, i'm not leaving it this way.

whenever i get the car back i will be rhinolining at least the top part of the core support for basically show purposes but also i am taking a grinder and cutting that bent lip off. after that i am going to apply pinch molding along that edge. i've cut my hands way too many times on that edge playing with radiator, headlights etc. stuff that i am going to protect that area for my personal tastes.
