Fiberglass Rd2 Evo Hood Group Buy
sorry you didn't like the song, but I didn't get a message? Try again if you need to. I'm glad at least Import Trenz is getting calls about the hood. I'll send out some refunds for sure instead of making you guys wait much longer for the product. Then if you want i later, it'll be available at the same price you paid up front.
The RD2 Evo hood was the last of anything "NEW" project wise, where I collected money up front. That simply will never happen again, even though it works, just not well. I hate feeling like a cheating lying bastard, when all I'm doing is making new parts for people, and it takes me forever to get projects wrapped up. I just dont have enough time in the day to stress out about Import Trenz not making my parts in the time they say. Some people who have IT do work for them, have to wait a solid year for a body kit, which if ready to mold when dropped off, should only take 2 weeks. Its not that they're a horrible company, they're just busy as hell, and they offer services to small companies like mine that nobody else wants to deal with (since quantities are so low).
Anyway, I had about a 6 week period, where I could not get ahold of Ed over at IT. He wasn't charging my account for parts that needed to be shipped, and then his excuse for why they're not shipping parts, was that I never paid them. WELL HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH A SITUATION LIKE THAT??? I wanted them to charge me, and they wanted me to pay, sounds easy right? Guess even straight forward situations like that aren't always easy. Anyway, I have a few grand going there way now that they're actually going to charge the account after I brought Henry into all of this. Its just a mess, and anything about new products being developed is always the same answer. The hood should be ready in two weeks. I dont know what that means really, except that they realize its something that they need to finish for me, whenever they get around to it. Its not like I need 500 of them, so maybe its place on the totem pole is dead bottom?

i know your busy, i know your getting screwed, but im putting an end to this vendor on this forum.. theres just TOO many projects that went no where, and money was invested and nothing to show for 90% of it. the most recent example is the rd2 evo hoods.. then look at how long the traction bars took.. and some stuff never even happened from like 1-2 years ago, and people still dont have products or their money back..
so now is the end.. people that want their money back need it back in a timely manner.. not 1 year from now, or 6 months, but all refunded within a few months..

Whether by your hand or mine, I dont want any more orders till you guys are all taken care of here. The mold for the RD2 Evo was being buffed out yesterday, and the APE traction bars I got a couple weeks ago are shipping. When everything else is done, I'll think about resuming sales, but hopefully I'll just have enough product posted and shipping normally from FlyRyde.com that I wont need a forum here. I just want to get back to being one of you guys, and posting about cars instead of products. This sucks.
I just checked my messages again thinking maybe I missed it, but no dude. Nothing yet. I'll be finding out the status of the first 5 hoods really soon, hopefully today. I have a bunch of orders from Import Trenz that I'm dealing with right now, so they should be pretty easy to squeeze info out of concerning the hood.
Good man, I like you as a pee-on better. Lil bastard. The hood mold is done I guess, and they should be starting to lay the FG now. I'll find out the exact stage today, as ITZ is supposed to get back to me with the status of everything, and I have the owner in the loop on this now.
This morning like 5 minutes ago, he said that Jose' will be in on Tuesday, and he'll find out whats up then. He also said sometimes he gets a call back from him over the weekend. I told Ed I'll call him monday to see if he got a call over the weekend, and I'll call again on Tuesday to find out whats up.
Its very likely that we have a hood ready to test fit done now. Its also very likely, that the hood, even if ready to be dropped off at ITZ on tuesday, wont be on the truck. Why? Just because that's the crap I normally deal with. BUT... if we can verify that the hood is ready to test fit. I'll drive my happy azz up to the shop that's about and hour and a half away from here, to get some pics of it on the car, and make sure the bolt holes for the hinges are correctly placed, and that the hood latch locks. I just want pics of it on a car. I just need to get my RD2 ready to drive up there, since its been off the road for over a month now. I should have that ready to go for thursday next week, or possibly friday.
My new work schedule is Mon-Wed in Las Vegas at our new showroom there, and Thur-Fri I'll be either at my shop (FlyRyde) or doing R&D work on the new body kits and performance parts. Like always, call if you need me: 909 770 2915

Many of you may think this is crazy that Chris is having issues with his suppliers. I have been dealing with Import Trenz and other suppliers for over the past 5 years and I will tell you that the delays he is seeing is really not new or directed only at Chris. I too have had issues sometimes waiting for over a year for a project that was promised within a week or 3. I have slowly turned my business to those that I can actually depend on. There is not a lot of those folks out there by the way. There are more people willing to take your money than those wanting to do the work. Over the next while, I will be helping Chris get out from behind some of this stuff and will begin to develop the parts you want at a better price as well. The biggest thing that I have found is that I no longer make any promises until I have the pieces in my hands, I do not do group buys. All they do is add to the frustration. A group buy tells me that the company doing the work, does not have the resources to do the project and follow it through to the end.
