Default Would this look good?

Lately I've been trying to come up with a good color combination to go with my blue Tib...something that I can carry through the interior/exterior and engine bay. I listed a couple possiblilties below to se what everyone thinks.

1. Go with blue Shift Knob, E-Break, and Pedals. I already have a blue Oil Cap and CAI connectors. Get the new SR blue Hose Weaves and a set of blue Spark Plug Wires. Everything would be blue, inside and out.

2. Go with red Shift Knob, E-Break, and Pedals. Eventually replace the blue Oil Cap and connectors with red ones to match. Get the Red version of the Hose Weaves as well as red Spark Plug Wires. Also possibly get the Red-Blue Team-SR windshield banner to top everything off. All red accessories in contrast to cobalt blue.

3. A mix of both. Get red Shift Knob, E-Break, and Pedals. Keep current blue Oil Cap and connectors, go with red Weaves and Spark Plug Wires. Possibly paint Hot Plate blue until I can get a new set of Headers. Interior would have all red accesories (not sure if the inside would look good with a mix). Engine bay would have both red and blue.

Anyone have any opinions on this? I'm leaning towards going with all red everything so it would show up good against the blue body...

PS- Wasn't exactly sure which forum to put this in, sorry if it needs to be moved smile.gif

Since your car is blue, if you did everything blue, that would just be too much of one color. You would be okay to add a couple/few color accents in blue..just a touch here and there, but keep everything mainly red (or color of your choice).

Bright red would not look that good with a blue bodied car. i would go with a lighter or darker color. Also...your engine bay does not have to match your interior.

My Tib is silver and I will be doing blue accessories to it. Blue and silver look good together. Just my 2 cents.

I agree, blue and silver do go good together, but thats mainly if your car's body is silver and then you get blue accents to go with it.

The more I think about it the more I want to go ahead and paint my dash eventually to go with the interior, I think it would give it a much more complete look. I won't go with blue though, most likely either Red or Yellow. I'm trying to picture yellow in my interior and I'm not sure if that would look right with the blue. Red though, I know looks pretty good. For the interior I want to just stick with mainly one color since there isn't that many items to change out.

For the engine though, I think two colors would work good together. I would use the blue parts that I have in there now and then add a different color Spark Plug Wires and hoses.

You guys don't think red would go good with the cobalt blue? Anyone have any pics of a blue Tib with either Red or Yellow interior that they could post?

Heres the colours I think go best together:

Black and Red
Silver and Blue
Green and Yellow

White goes with anything.

Only go purple if you are a chick or italian.

Why not silver/chrome accents?
I think the red might be too garish against the blue. Look at SMU logos / merchandise, and you'll see what I mean.
