Floyd, your lip is fully wrapped but im not happy with the new resin I picked up, it doesnt dry crystal clear so im gunna have to get some better resin in before I start laying in the layers of resin. Did some more sanding on my lower grill opening today but the pics on that are from yesterday.

First layer of vinyl ester resin mixed with black die. Vinyl ester resin sticks well to plastics
unlike epoxy resin, I havnt had much luck with it stickin to plastic on past projects.

After the Vinyl resin dries I slap down some epoxy resin. Epoxy resin will bond to
vinyl ester resin but not the other way around.

The CF gets laid down when it starts to tack up so it sticks well to the bends and corners I gotta make.

All wrapped around

Now I need some proper epoxy resin that dries clear so i can finish up.

After 7 years of these patches of bondo where the grill was cut out
I am finally getting that wrapped up, talk about lagging!

That will look awesome in carbon fiber and really go well with the upper grill
that I did.

Ok its been awhile but there is finally some progress. It took some time before my package showed up and when it did it was beat to hell and you could tell it was retaped. I signed for the package and had the driver note the damage it had. I should have opened it then but I had to hit the road. Few days later I opened it and the hardner was missing. I had a new one sent out no problem but I recieved the wrong type of hardner... blah blah blah so I have the right stuff now. Goal is to have all the coats on by sunday afternoon then let it cure for a few days.

Yo Floyd, just a lil update. Got side tracked by the brakes and this blemish that appeared after the last coat I applied. There was some kind of contamination that streaked in the resin but it looked to be on the top. I sanded it tonight but since its scuffed up I wont know if the streak is gone until the next coat dries.
