Windshield Wipers
hmmm.. didn't know these were a problem... I think this spring I am going to have to pull mine out and make sure everything is still lubed up right.I am glad it was an easy fix though, and not too expensive either.

I got the part from the dealership in Niagara Falls. Everything is more expensive in the Falls, so $10.....meh...... no biggie.
Mad, I would definitely check out the linkage. It's real easy to get at and easy to take out. throw some WD40 on there to grease her up. My one spline was seized solid. Something inside that the WD40 couldn't get at.
Just to warn anybody be prepared to get new screws. I had to run to Canadian Tire to replace mine. I dunno if it was just cause it was cold, if they were rusted, or both!! I gave it some torque and the heads broke off each and every bolt!! Sh!tty deal IMO, but again no biggie $2 later I had them in place.
Also put the spline that is located on the drivers side in first. It's easy to insert it in such a way that the linkage can't turn the spline. I did it and cursed myself when I had to do it over again.

Oooh! Do you remember what road it was on?? I think I drove through it searching for tibs.
I wouldve given you the part for less, but I understand that you wouldve needed it right away, and knowing me it wouldve taken at least a week. LOL
speaking of which, Im gonna ship you the strut bar now, and then once I get the hubs off, I'll ship them seperately, so that way you dont have to wait for the strut bar. Sound good?
Anyway, to be on topic...um..anyone else using those 2 or 3 blade wipers? You think they would cause extra stress on the motor?

Dealership was on Montrose Rd in Niagara Falls. There is also another one that is a little more accessible from the highway in St Catherines.
Figured I 'd get a whole new part. This way I know I can trust it for a little while.
As for the strut bar. Whatever is best for you. If tyou want to get rid of it, sure. Doesn't matter right now. I'll definitely want it once I put my turbo in. wink1.gif Whatever works for you.
