Default Windshield has chemical stains

There is a 10" x 10" area of blotted stains adjacent the bottom right corner and near the defresoter for the cars windshield

It looks like freon to me, having removed my A/C for lighter engine a while back i think this is what its from.. Can I remove it? It looks like its on there bad, too. Again it looks like Freon, or some refridgerant possibly? Nothing close to a hard water stain. I thought it did. But I did plug up the A/C holes in the firewall. Dosen't the A/C chemicals oxidize tho. So maybe the A/C dosen't?

Try some lacquer thinner. Got to be quick on the wipe up though.

try a bunch of solvents and see what happens. alcohol, acetone, water, mineral spirits. Nothing will hurt the glass short of hydrofluoric acid, but you might mess up the dash so be careful.
