the headlight connector that you plug into the 9006 headlight bulb is fried.. the connector part that plugs in melted for some reason and now i need to replace it to get my headlight working..

i was wondering if this would work..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/9006-XS-HB4...032581345QQrdZ1

it basically has the connector that i'm looking for but not sure how it would hook up to my existing harness.. would i have to cut the existing wires in the harness and rewire them to this thing? or is it easier than that?

or if anyone else has any alternatives that might work to fix my problem please speak up!

thanks in advance!

it would work you gotta splice it in

if you have high output bulbs it probably caused the harness to burn

even with the "upgraded harness connector" all that would do is cause the wires to fry further up the harness

thats what ebay high wattage bulbs will do. the stock wiring is not built to handle 100watts.

also by using high Watt bulbs you can fry a headlight (lens can crack or plastic can melt from higher temperature)

Just use spade connectors and crimp them in

i say go with stock ones

i'm using Halo HID's (6000K) on stock wiring and no problems so far.

i wouldn't trust that ebay wiring.

I've only just clicked that our bulbs (in Australian Coupes/Tiburons) are not the same as the ones you guys use... Our low beams are H1 as opposed to 9006. Anyone have any ideas as to why that is?

My Korean Spec Tib has also H1 for low beam and H1 for high beam.

Probably it's beacuse we have glass headlights. But I don't see connection. dunno.gif
