Default Will gas eat your paint?

I was thinking today how many times I have spilled a tiny bit of gas on the side of my car as I was taking the pump out of gas filler. I try to wipe it down right away but sometimes it takes me a little while before I get to it. Will having fuel on the paint like that eat at it or strip it any way?

It's not stripped away yet. There's your answer.
