From what I understand, this is a problem with Y2K bulbs. I hear of more and more people with the 9007 bulb (Y2K+ models) complaining about bulbs burning out.

I'm not sure if it is due to crappy quality bulbs, or a flaw in the tiburon Headlight design.

As it does not happen to ALL owners, I can only assume that it is the bulb, or the installation, or a combination of both. Make sure you do not touch the bulb itself. To be sure/safe, swab the bulb with rubbing alochol just prior to install to remove any residue on the bulb. Lastly, try a higher quality bulb than you have been using.

If you are using the standard bulbs, not Superwhite or high wattage bulbs, let Hyundai Replace them for you, and take it back if/when they burn out. There may be a short in your headlight wiring that is causing the bulbs to burn out.

If you are using high wattage bulbs, try going back to stock wattage, or at least a lower wattage. In my foglights, 130W bulbs looked really good and damn bright(stock is 35 Watt), but they kept burning out every 3 months. I finally switched to high quality Hella 100W bulbs, and they have lasted for almost a year.
