I do quite often. White car doesn't show many swirls, and the crappy thing paint has me less concerned about it. It's already crap, so I don't mind.

I use them too. I heard that in some cases the high water pressure can blast the dirt into the paint!

On a side note - I went through the car wash at the Shell station around the corner from my house. I had a small chip on the front bumper and the SUPER high pressure wash/rinse blasted a quarter sized circle of paint off my bumper! I was not impressed.

I use them. I use like $3 on a regular wash like $4.50 if um washin it good. Just make sure u rinse the brush before u use it. Don't know what's on it to mess up your paint.

+1 to rinsing the brush before using, but I would recommend only using them for a quicky rinse, and leave the brush where it is.

It's a crummy alternative to a proper wash, but it's all that I can do in an apartment for now. The one near me absolutely chews the dollars though, it's like $1 for 40 seconds.

This! Its ok to use the brush on your windows or rims, but NEVER on your paint.

coin car washes are all I use.

I spend about 9-10 minutes in there every time.. Costs me about 4-5$ a week or so..

I never touch the car either, only air dry (go on a higher speed drive for about 10-15 minutes afterwards)

I start out with about 3-5 minutes of the light pressure pre-rinse of the triple shine conditioners to let it really soak and rinse off most of the car.. Then I go to the higher pressure soaps (after most of the dirt and crap has rinsed off the car) and never use a brush of any kind.

Some of the coin washes have the air shammee's which do a pretty good job of a spot free dry.

Come summer time, I might actually touch the car for the first time with a cloth

Rinsed or not, I would NEVER EVVVVVVER use the brush on a car I cared about.. Although, the paint on the V is not the greatest, so I don't know how much I will care about it in a year or so.. might just bring the brush out to piss the car off, lol.

I'll have to go with turbosocks response. I have a bodykit so no autowashers for me. Besides you can get a better wash without going to an autowash.
