Who here takes their car through the car wash? I have thought about doing the touchless kind where no brushes hit your car, but Ive heard of peoples cars getting scratched up even in those. So I dont know if I could ever do it.

I do when I'm in a hurry. But few get low enough for me, its just too much better for do it by hand. And rewarding!

Yep I run them through car washes. It rains all the time here, so it would just stay dirty if I did it myself all the time.

never in the auto wash. a very big waste of money compared to getting out and running the wand yourself. most of the time though i wash the car at the house.

Murano - yes

Genesis - no. Hand washed every time. The paint seems so thin on this car. I wouldn't be afraid to take it and spray it down with a pressure hose, but only from a distance to get salt or dirt off of it or to clean the wheels. I wouldn't use the brush or even their chemicals - just a quick gentle spray from several feet away to knock off dirt before I hand wash it (don't want to rub the dirt into the paint).

This time of year, it's the only way the ride gets washed. Now that the state of CT has stopped with the salt/sand mix and moved on to the road spray, the car turns solid white and crusty after a 10 mile drive.

I always hand wash. Im always afraid of the machine grabbing something on my car and ripping it off. So I stay clear of those
