VERY upset to day went out and looked at my hood and it is cracking in like 4 spots right next to each other like 3inches in lenght on all of them i had it for like not even a year havent drove the car in a year what can i do to fix it anything

 

The clear coat on the carbon fiber or the actual carbon fiber of the hood itself?

 

it looks like both but it might be just the clear coat not sure have to go look at it tommorow

 

Do you have hood pins or using the vis latch? where are the cracks...Chris

most likely the clear coat. that's not good. if i were you i'd just get it painted. or just another clear coat if you want it to show CF.

 

it sounds like the top coat is cracking. i would pull it sand it and have them clear coat it again

 

yes its the clear coat.it is cracking at the side top kinda by where you bolt it but not that far up.

 

Since its the clear coat, just get it re clear coated... shouldn't be too expensive. Fixing actual cracks in the carbon fiber is much harder I believe, and has to be more expensive.

Is it a real VIS hood? I've got friends with VIS and have no problems. I'd contact them and ask them if there is any way to fix it, or demand replacement.
