VeilSide Kit Pics for 2nd Gen Tibs
Yes, the hood is definately awesome, and the Kit is very solid, but the front end is pretty too much.
HELL, its stiil off the hook though!
(Imagining the look on the other motorists faces as I drive past them bling blinging my veilside)

how much rain or snow depending where you live would get drained into that scoop in the hood or is it a non fuctional scoop.
Any info....
Awesome kit though...must have

I believe it's a functional hood. But if you live in a place that gets lots of rain and snow. I don't know what you could do. Maybe fit a piece under the hood to keep it dry. Something that might be able to be screwed in place and then removed later when it is dry.

The hole in the hood is a vaccume vent. At speed, the low pressure area caused by the depression in the hood, sucks hot air out of the engine bay. By lowering the air pressure in the engine bay, it allows more air to flow through your radiator, keeping your engine cooler in hot weather, and also lowering underhood temps.
The hole is small enough, that I doubt you would EVER have to worry about ANYTHING getting in there. Even in the rain, when you stopped, the vent is vertical, only a small amount of water would drop in.
The Zefiro hood, with it's LARGE openings, MIGHT be a problem with a hot engine and a sudden downpour. But since your engine gets wet when you drive in the rain anyway, I seriously doubt it would cause anyone any harm.
Keep in mind, they use them in korea, they get killer thunderstorms in the summer and killer snow storms in the winter.

I don't think water/snow would be an issue at all unless you have a CAI sitting in the engine bay rather than the fender fell.
I mean think about when you're washing the engine bay.
I don't know bought the rest of you but I just spray on this cleaner that my dealership gave me and just rince it off with a garden hose. Suprisingly it works great.
