Hi,

Ive taken my corners out before, and it was easy in, easy out. But I got a new front bumper (stock) and ever since I got it back from the shop, I am having trouble with the corners.

I took out my corner lights to change the bulbs, and I ran into a few problems.

First, they were pretty hard to get out. One came out really easy, but I had to REALLY push on one to get it out.

Second, I cannot get them back in the way they were. I know this is very simple, but for some reason they just will NOT go in right.

One corner will be sticking out, and no matter how I push and pry I cannot get it in straight. Its almost as if when the body shop put things back on, they put the corners on BEFORE the front bumper went on, putting the rubber seals behind the front bumper.

I really dont know what to do because I cannot get the small front corner to stop poking out.

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance!

Default Trouble with corner lights install

make sure you are pushing the housing straight back. you might want to look at the white clip that holds the assembly in place and make sure it isn't dammaged. it should "pop" back into place after you have removed it.

I know when I got my clear corners, the passenger side was a pain to get out. then when I had it out it didn't want to go back in. I put a little bit of grease on the metal guide and gave it a good smack and it popped back into place.

hope this helps a bit

Default Header install without haveing to lengthen the 2nd O2 sensor

there's the clip he talks about above, as well as a metal little spike sticking out of the back of the corner that has to go into a metal hole.

what body kit do you have by the way?

I dont have a body kit - just the stock bumper.

I aligned the little clip behind the lights, and the metal spike, and also the little plastic nob that goes into the hole near the side panel.

When I align the metal spike with its hole, the rear corner sticks out too far. When I align the plastic nob with its hole, the metal spike is about 1/2" from where it needs to be, and the front corner sticks out sad.gif

I've got the same problem, like 3 corners for my passenger side have been almost impossible to get out. Broke a part each time.

Alright - I got them in laugh.gif

The one that was really hard to get out, I popped it out by hitting it with a screw driver from the back lol That one went back in like a charm, perfect 100% the way it was.

The other one comes out easy, but I have to push it in, then press hard on it with my hand or knee, while I screw in the screw to hold it in.

It is about 95% the way it should be, but I noticed my side panel is pushed in like 2mm more than it is supposed to be...so when I get a little more time I will pull that back out, then put that light back in the right way. Being 2mm offset, the little hole for the nob to go in is not where it should be, but a little force and its OK for now lol.

Thanks to everyone who responded!
