Tree sap
Does anyone know what a person can use to get old tree sap off of paint? I've tried almost everything, goo gone, wd40, whatever I could get my hands on.

Tree sap becomes part of the paint. Your best bet is to use rubbing compound. It's a light abrasive which will take off the top layers. Get it off as best as you can, then use clay bar to free loose particles from your paint, then use rubbing compound, then polishing compound. The combination will make your car look better then it ever has. Don't forget to follow up with a good paste wax. If you don't do it frequently, use a urethane based wax for long-term protection.

I've tried a few which failed. My buddy's car was covered in sap and we finally got it off with rubbing compound. Even the windshield was a PITA. But, on the windshield you can use a razor blade.
