15% tint as in there is 15% of tint or 15% of light transmission?

Some tint looks good.. I think on a dark car it ties the looks together.. on a light car it adds a nice bit of contrast... but I personally would not do any more than you absolutly need. When it starts interfering with seeing out of the car.. especially at night.. it is a hazard and I think you should get a ticket and be forced to remove it.

 

I was pulled for my tint (I don't think it's even legal to pull for something like that but anyway) and forced to remove it or get a ticket. Gotta love cops with nothing better to do.



You probably haven't had problems because cops know you need that tint in NV during the Summer. But I don't think windshield tint is legal anywhere, so that may get you the attention you've been missing. wink1.gif

 

ooh ok then in fl you can have a lot of tint...i want it to kinda go with the cf hood and wing im getting (rest of my car is cardinal red)

 

me and my friend started tinting 3 years ago on his S10, we did a really bad job..it's hard. however..i've tinted probably 5-10 cars since then, and i'm getting really good now. me and him tinted the entire tib with ZERO bubbles or anything. since i've tinted cars before, I know what i'm doing. you CAN do a GOOD DIY tint job.

all you have to do is TAKE YOUR TIME, do it in good weather, and NEVER stop squeegeeing (?) smile.gif
if you follow those steps you can't mess it up. it's kind of like interior painting..don't go fast.

 

I went with your approach last year with my tints, i got pulled over about once every two months. (3 times, during the 6 months of summer)

I HATE PIGS !!!!!!!! mad.gif Anyways i'm probably goin darker this summer just to spite those fvcks.

 

Coming from a guy whos sig has a tint so dark u cant see jack in it lol.



Here in illinois the rear and sides have no limit, thats cool, i just dont know how dark i can go so i can still actualy see.
