Is there an easy way to remove bird droppings off your car without scratching the underlying paint?

Some birds had their way with my car and I'm afraid when I wash it, the droppings will scratch the paint when trying to spray them off. Is there something that disolves it that will make it easier or softer to remove?

I noticed no one replied and it's been a while but here's my advice for next time: soak the dropping in detail spray and then put a damp microfiber on top and wipe it up when the dropping gets soft
