just curious...

did you by chance get the name of the officer that pulled you over so you can ask him if this modification you are doing right now will suffice?

and i wonder how he measured 100ft. while following you. i ask this about weird things the cops say to me once in awhile and they can never explain, it's just one of them "cause i can tell" remarks.

To tell you the truth, I had never noticed it before. It wasn't until I was pulled over that I actually looked back there and realized that a change was needed. He was right, my lights were too dim. This will make them plenty brighter.

^^ Yes. Only when I brake.
For reference: It is hooked to the green and the black wire. If it were for constant illumination it would be the green/white and black wire.

Part of it is the shitty LED bulbs you have back there. I replaced all of mine with the SMD style HIGH POWER LED's, they are almost blinding during the day too. The SIDE LED's are the most important, as they fill the entire reflector. Yours has some, but they are standard LED's, and just not very bright.

Of course you'll tell me I'm wrong, but I could care less.

That's f***ed up in many different ways man! Did you just come in here to slam my car? You have SMT, not SMD. It says so in the e-bay auction you posted earlier today. The tower style LED replacement bulbs have only been available since around June. They're an emerging technology. I bought them this summer when they first came out. I'm running them in my front turn signals and they cost $50 a piece. Also, my tail lights were the most expensive LEDs which you could purchase a year and a half ago. $35 per bulb from superbrightLEDs.com.

You'll have to excuse the fact that I didn't run right out and replace my all of my perfectly good, expensive LED blubs for the new perfectly good, expensive LED towers when they came out this year.

Here's the finished product!!!!

hahah i like how you tapped the brake a lot at the end. What does that remind me of ah yes San Francisco Rush N64 anyone? HAHA.

i still like my crazy idea about molding the whole back into some crazy sh*t, throwing some cool reflectors from a junkyard. otherwise it's ok, hardly noticeable is what i mean.

NICE fing02.gif , looks good but they looked bright enough to begin with...your high mount is bright enough . If some one like that cop couldent realize that you were breaking with the high mount alone, then they dont needa be driving...

O well.. Came out nice tho.
