thanks! im super pumped with how it turned out
it's awesome flexible.
polyurethane smile.gif
i was worried about the gap in the middle of the lip between the type R lip and the accent's factory chin.. but once i snugged up the screws, the PU lip just bent to the shape of the bumper.
then i WAS going to do the skirts body colour.. but once i saw the black lip on the car with the black hood.. i figure might as well do the sideskirts black too so it flows with the front lip

thanks man! smile.gif
No plans of moulding it to the bumper, as i live in canada.. winters can sometimes suck here.. want to be able to pull the lip off whenever i need to.
Plus i'll need to pull the lip off and on when i maintain the car or do anything with the FMIC setup. and i think if i mould it, and pull the bumper skin off, it may crack the mould line every time. (ive noticed the x3 bumper is pretty flimsy and flexy)
will probably be making a vac-form machine this fall/winter, so i may use mine as a base mould to replicate more of these, but the proper length, with no cut in the middle.
only difference is, they'll be ABS plastic vs PU.
but since they'll be moulded to the exact shape of the x3 bumper, the flexibility wont be that much of an issue, sinc eit'll be conformed perfectly, with no need to press it against the bumper to fit.
