Currently installing these in an extra set of headlights that I have picked up, just curious if anyone has tried it yet with an led ring instead of an acrylic ring.

No, actually there's a guy on Ebay selling these things for dirt cheap! Not sure what I paid for these off hand, but they were WAY under $100!
