Default Suicide Doors

I have been thinking and everyone is doing Lambo doors so i think i will go for suicide doors. I just dont know what all needs to be done for this. I found a kit on autoloc.com but i just dont know if you have to do anything else or is it just bolt it on and go (i know it can't be that easy) so if anyone can tell me what all needs to be done that would be great.

Suicide doors are a b****.. You get a kit, but theres ALOT of fab work to be done to get it to fit correctly.. You will have to have a welder, grinder, little bondo, and necessary tools to cut and mount everything.. You will spend alot of hours on it too, probably 50+.. Good luck with it.. I love suicide doors, its just ALOT of work and money (if you pay someone)..

Even though vertical door kits run $800 - $1500, I'm sure it would be cheaper to go that route. Only about 5 hours labor instead of the 50+ it would take for suicide.... it would be awsome though.

it's a matter of strength.. the A piller on the car.. where the doors bolt up and hinge from.. is designed to hold the weight of the door no matter what position it is in.. the B piller where the catch is, does not have the proper reinforcements.

Another note, not EVERYONE is doing anything with their doors. I know of what, 4 people in the whole world with Door kits for tibs.

That's it.

Far from everyone.

good idea and i would love to see a suicide tib but like mad machine said the pillar just doesn't have the reinforcements. but that is not saying it cant be done. enough time and money in any project and it will get done. i have seen weirder @#% come into my body shop in the past

The kit i found was on autoloc.com I am not for sure the exact link but it is not hard to find. The kit is only about $300. Thanks for everyones info, now i am not to sure about doing it. It would be awesome but it sounds like a lot of work a lot of money, which i dont have. Oh well, thanks guys.
