Socket bases?
So as I said in the other thread about my lights, I've ordered 3 sets of switchbacks, and none of them worked. Meaning, they dont even light up. They look like this (wedge style)
Now that I think about it, it's probably because the thin metal contacts are not hitting the power and ground strips in the factory socket. So does anyone know where I can buy a blank 1157 socket base where I can put the wedges in, and then place it into the factory socket?
Something like this:
So it turns into this:
I searched all over Google and couldnt really find anything. Not sure if I'm using the wrong search terms or what, but some help is needed.

^ I was wondering the same thing ^
The LEDs I put in the bumper corners were flaky because the contacts (something I've seen on some of the cheaper bulbs) were really flimsy, small gauge wire that slid out of alignment really easily. I soldered on a small extension to keep the contacts solid with the socket. That's assuming you actually need a 3157.

Yeah, but 1157 wedges. I could just buy new 1157 style switchbacks, but if I can just buy the socket base for the wedges to plug into, that would be better than just buying new bulbs all together.

No such thing as an 1157 wedge. Where are you putting these? 3157's are 1157's with a wedge base. The "3" means it's a wedge style bulb.
