Smoked Taillight Legality
I pulled the set of tailights off my wrecked Tib today and they're sitting in the trunk right now...
I don't know which set I should tint.... the better-looking ones on my Tib currently, or the ones with more scratches off my old one... hmmm 33.gif
Oh and it shouldn't matter if I tint the LED strip pretty dark right? since those LED's are so bright...

You can fool a lot with the LED strips.. make the edges where the LEDs are not darker and lighter where the LEDs are.. it will make the whole thing look really black until you touch the brakes
The reason it comes off is because you need to sand the lights to key them so that he paint bonds properly.
I used p800 on mine because I am using clear, but you need to mist them with at least a 1200 before spraying.
Spraying something thats hard and shiny is an accident waiting to happen.

i allways sand them, otherwise you have a bigger chance of the paint running also.
so that definitly has nothing to do with it, as said, its been years. i think time itself is to blame. no one has no reason to not clear them anyways, they look better that way, and it protects them.
keep in mind i never do anything half assed anymore~

Ok here are a few pics taken with my crappy phone camera....

When lit at night they look awesome, but during the day you can hardly see them if the sunlight is directly on them...

^damn that's dark as hell! looks hot though just be careful.
our SEAT Cordoba has exactly what mad-machine's tiburon had. that was kind of a cool thing to have come out of the factory especially in 1997. personally i like both the look of a faded tint or just the reverse lights.
