hey guys,
For a while, the mechanism of my electric mirrors is not working great... when trying to tilt the mirror from the inside control. it is stuck, untill i give it a little push with the hand and it starts to move. It goes back to the first position frealy.

Any idea how to lubricate it or whtever?

Thanks!

Ill take a look at the tibby shop manual tonite to see how it is put togather, But I know what you mean.

Sometimes my moves kinda of in spurts, but once you have it set you shouldent have to really move it again.
Even if you do it shouldent be that much.

Why are you moving yours soo much? lol Are you spying on people?

ONLY thing I can think of right now is spray wd-40 back there or somethin?

Like I said ill take a look at the shop manual tonite.

I have a set of OEM's in perfect shape I'd sell you. That would fix it up nice! fing02.gif

^^^ LOL....

I like to tilt them down, to not scratch the wheels parking close to a sidewalk...

Please do check the manual and post what you've found.

Thanks!

There's a post on the bottom and one on the outside edge of the mirror glass. They sit inside spinning sockets. When the socket spins clockwise the pin moves out, when it spins counter-clockwise, the pin is sucked in. Sometimes these pins or sockets get stripped. When this happens, the only option is replacement. You can inspect the parts by CAREFULLY pulling the glass off the inner works. Its held on with friction clips, but will break if you're not careful. You can replace the individual parts, you don't need to buy a whole mirror.
