Hello all, I am looking into getting the shaved door kit but not sure what size solenoid need for our doors.
Our doors don't feel very heavy I was wondering if I could get away with a 11lbs or 15lbs set?

Also, if i convert to a vertical door would that changed the size of solenoid also?

the solenoid doesnt touch the door. in pulls back the locking mechanism, and then the door "popper" plunger pops the door out. get a 50 lb. "kit", and it will include a 50lb. popper, and whatever size solenoid they think is propper.

Thanks, i guess your right peter. Now thinking about it would be kind of difficult opening the door with a shaved door kit tongue.gif.

You'll definitly want at least a 35 pound pull kit. 50 might be a little over kill, but it works just as well. I'm set up as a dealer for Autoloc, so I can get alot of their stuff pretty cheap. If you want anything, send me an email and I'll get you some prices. smile.gif

I have the shaved handles, and Vertical Door kit, which is INSANE when paired together. I hit a button on my remote that pops the door open a few inches, then just lightly lift up and the doors fly up.

I'm always for more tibs with no handles. Its the clean side shots that are the best.

Now I'll say this, 35 lbs pops are for show cars. I'd use 75 or 50 at least for everyday use. From personal experience of over 2 years, owning 35 lbs. plungers sucks. Any drop in voltage and you wont get them to pull the latch open. I KNOW THIS, hehe.
