not saying im going to get one, but i was just wondering if anyone here has one. i snowboard a lot, and the things take up a lot of room in my car, and it is impossible to fit more then 2 people in. i know thule makes some universal ones, but would they mess any6thing up?

Default roof rack

Yep I have one with both ski and bike mounts.......they are a pain to put on and take off because you need to get a short roof line mounting kit and with it on you can not fully open the hatch. The only companies I have seen with racks for the tiburon is Thule and Yakima. Both very good quality racks.....I have one from Thule. You can expect to pay upwords of $500.00 for mounting feet , mounting bars , Locks for the rack and the mounting equipment for the snowboard. I only recomend getting one if you are going to use it alot because you can easily scratch or dent your roof if you slip while mountnig the rack or snowboard. I got mine because my skis and or my mountain bike would not fit with my stereo equipment in my trunk area...however I no longer use it since i got my Santa fe. If you are still interested you can check out either of the 2 companies I mentioned and get parts lists, dealers in your area and prices. Hope that helps.

I have been snowboarding for years, and when I bought my tib I quickly realized that you can only take 2 people in the car with all of your gear. Which is ok for me, cuz I usually only like to take one other person in the car anyway. But I was also thinking of getting a roof rack for my boards, but i didn't want to scratch the roof.
Another option is (depending on how long your snowboard are, would be to find a rack that can hook on to the rear hatch and sit on an angle, I seem to remember a rack system like that for the older Camaro's and Firebirds, I know our rear window is a little smaller but it might be worth looking into.
Or last resort would be to put a bike rack on the rear and strap the boards to it, I think that they might make attachments to do just that.
