Removing Stock Fog Lights
#1
Hi all,
I've seen on some Tibs that some people remove the stock fog lights and puttting some aftermarkets in the center lower grill. My question is, Is it fairly easy to remove these? and is there a DIY on this?
Thanks
Dan

Yes , I have done it (and very glad I did at that).
It's VERY easy to take out the lights, ... but installing aftermarket ones can be a little tricky If you dont have any electrical knowledge.
The stock fogs have 2 blots underneath. Kinda hard to get too though - involves you sliding under your bumber on your back.
If you've removed your resonator, then this is a walk in the park!

Because now my lights are a hundred times brighter (and whiter) then the stock fogs
It almost has H.I.D intensity, compared to the yellow flashlight like foglights (and I do understand the difference between Driving lights and Fog lights tongue.gif)
plus the previous owner had crack the front of the drivers side fog.
Looks ten thousand times better now - Hence me being "Glad I did it", LOL

My car never had the stock fogs... the "scoops" were held in with a clip and a single screw.. so I imagine that is how the stock fogs are held in. It is also probably easier to drop the forward edge of the inner fender for better access.

excellent those look good. now i'm definately gonna have to try it.
One last question. I have a 2000 Tib SE and the set of lights between the headlights and the fog lights. Can these be removed also with no repurcussions and look good? Any Pics?
Thanks Guys
