RD2 Taillight removal help
For of the people who have replaced their taillights... HOW IN THE WORLD did you get the white plastic clip that all the bulbs are connected to off the stock taillight!!! It won't come off. I had to come in for a breather before i started in with a hammer. Am I missing something? It looks like a simple pull should get it off after pushing in the little bump/clip on it but it doesn't!

haha i was gunna say that ^^ but i figured that couldnt be what hes talking about.... the "bump/clip" also leads me away from the thing that turns out. who knows tho
No, all 3 bulbs go into one plastic piece(the one I'm trying to get off) and then then power source is plugged into the other end of that plastic piece. i know how to get the bulbs out.
If you are talking about how to remove the harness connector from the taillight housing, I needed to use a small screwdriver to pry up between the connector and the housing. If the RD2 connector is the same as the RD1, there is small "tab" that holds the white plastic connector onto the housing, you need to pry the white plastic up enough so that it can slip over this tab.
That was exactly the part I was talking about. On my passenger side the harness is melted onto the the plastic piece fromt he taillight so I couldn't get it off but I got my driver's side off with no problem. Thanks for the help I ended up breaking it off.
