RD1 conversion
Has anyone ever seen/heard of anyone doing a front-end conversion on an RD2 to an RD1. or visa versa but I don't see why you'd want to.....
I'd just like to see pics and know how much money they spent. I would think it would be possible (if you had tons of cash), just need all body parts (hood, bumper, fenders) and maybe new radiator support of course the RD1 headlights and such. Some wiring work. maybe frame work...?
I'm wondering if the body lines will match from an RD1 fender tib on an RD2, because I know the part cut out for the headlights is a little different, right?
Maybe Mad can draw up some custom pics...
I was just picturing this in my head and wanted to know if it was feasable, or already done. Lemme know feedback/info if you have any

No, it'll all work.
You need...
1. Bumpers.
2. Headlights and corners.
3. Hood.
4. Radiator cross support
5. Tail lights.
6. There seems to be some argument wether or not the hatch is different.
7. Tails.
8. Custom work on the rear 1/4 panels.

the rear hatch IS different around the taillights. The RD1 has a gentle slope that follows our wider taillights while the RD2's curvature is steeper.
RD1 Hatch
RD2 Hatch
See the differences in how the hatch follows the taillights?
Honestly, are you sure there is a difference in the rear fender? The curve around the taillights looks VERY similar.

OKay, maybe title was misleading...but I was just talking about taking an RD2 (keeping tailights) and doing front-end conversion to RD1.
Thanks for info, just curious...
So (according to Hyundai Parts) rear quarter panels are the same...
REDZ, what about these pics from Korea Spart mentioned?
