Default Question on putting on the rear visor...

Um, I read in previous posts that I should get 3M Double Sided tape for the rear visor and to put rubbing alochol on the area before putting on the rear visor. But, am I supposed to take the tape that comes with the rear visor off, and put on the new 3M Double sided tape? Or am I supposed to put the 3M Double sided tape on top of the tape that comes attatched to the rear visor?

Yes, take the original tape off.
Go to Home depot and get some 3M double sided tape and retape it.
Then use windex (glass cleaner) and clean the glass religiously
Then use some rubbing alcohol clean the area where the tape it gonna be.

You should then be fine smile.gif

I left the original tape on, added more 3M tape, AND used some stuff called "Goop". It's hard to find but is wonderful @ holding that visor to the back glass. It's like silicone only better.
I had the visor come off once (taped and JbWelded on). Since the "Goop", NO problems almost 2 yrs later through harsh conditions and lots O speed.
