just a noob question here,
our tibs take 9006 HID's right?
so does that mean i can get any HID as long as it's 9006?
or are there specific ones made for our cars?
for example, civics use 9006 bulbs too, so does that mean their HID's would fit our tibs?
and what are ballasts? doesnt HID's come as one piece with wiring or do they come in parts?

what year tib do you have? check the new users section under FAQ to see you rheadlight type.

three main parts to a HID system. bulb, igniter and ballast. some of them have the igniter built in to the ballasts.

a 9006 on one car will be the same as it is for your car. as long as you get the right type HID kit, you will be fine. they arent car specific, but headlight bulb style specific.

Mad-john, it's:

9006 - low beam
9005 - high beam
H3 - fogs

and make sure you look at the picture of the 9006's before you buy them to see if they will fit the same way. if you get the h.i.d. (i highly reccomend) then you really won't need your fogs LOL. i don't know why i use mine, maybe for looks now! lmao.gif

the 9006 HIDs should fit the same if the headlights in your car are in fact the 9006 type.

and yes, i can barely even tell when my high beams and fogs are on.

lol i got free ones from my best friends lexus dealership and they were 9006 but the rings were too small so my caps are holding the lights in place from the back. but regardless they are pretty snug and don't budge!

good deal eh? they're worth $350...

also, i reccomend buying a new fuse to go with it. my lights cannot light up without my engine running or else the fuse pops.

bwaa? thats not right at all. you should be able to turn your headlights on whenever, without anything popping. especially since HIDs take less power than regular halogen bulbs. i would get that checked out dood.

Jesus. It's been discussed so many times that the higher the temperature in Ks, the lower the light output. Do no go higher than 6500 if you are looking for visibility improvment.

Websites and ebay sells them usually as conversion kits. Usually they are just plug and play with easy instructions.
