not much money but ya spent over 1600$ for that kit without including shipping or paint... fing02.gif seems like that needs money to do that lol

edit: i was lookin at kits on veilside.com and i found a bently that had a carbon fiber body kit that cost a whopping 22,000$.. yeah thats nuts.

they also have a body kit for a mini cooper with recessed fiberglassed hearts all over the kit.. how gay.

lol thanks for reminding me how much I spent on the body kit, and me and my uncle painted the car, so paint was only like 200 I think around there. And remember I got the car for $4000, its a 2001 it was paid off when I got it (November last year) and had 70,000 miles on it.

You will want to get the skirts. Trust me. You also want to remember that there's not really a quick shipping method for the kit. No one carries them in stock (unless somethings changed). They come directly from Ixion to customs, to the distributor (most likely Importshark), then out to you. It's a long process. Twice as long if you don't order it all at once. So if you put the front on and really don't like the match to the skirts, you're going to have to put up with it for a bit.

Also, if you get it separately like say from Evofusion, it's $500 for the bumper, $85 for the fog lamps and $195 for shipping to your door. So your looking at close to $800. Price from I.S. is $1350 shipped to your door for the full kit including fog lamps. Sounds like the better deal. You could throw the rear lip on Ebay if you don't want it.

ok well through IS the total plus shipping for just the front bumper is 531.65, thats including everything. And the insurance company is fixing it and ordering all of the parts I just got to tell them what I want instead of the other bumper.

it says 30-60 days to get here, from IS. The insurance company is giving me $875 for the new front well up to that I dont actually get the money or any left over so the $735 for the front bumper shipping and fogs is no problem from evo, about how long does it take to get to my location from evofusion?(florida)

gonna take a minimum of 45 days from either source probably if you get the ixion. its being shipped overseas and comes in a container, then they distribute it. they usually only get crate shipments every month. if you catch them at the right time you might get lucky and get it in a few weeks or so..

but no matter WHERE you get ixion front from itll most likely take around 2 months.

That's if it doesn't get tied up in customs...My order took about 3 months total. A little longer for the fog lamps that were missing from the original shipment.

The insurance company is going to order aftermarket parts from Korea for you?????
Wouldn't happen in my state. They just cut you a check, tell you to get it fixed from one of their approved service shops and then maybe they'll follow up to make sure you spent the money on the repairs. Maybe not. You never know. If the costs exceeds the estimate and you got oem parts and it was repaired at an approved shop, the insurance will cover it. If you bought some other stuff and the cost is more, you've got to pay that out of pocket.

I understand you're short on cash, but I think everyone's in agreement that it's going to look bad mixing those two kits. I still say save up the extra $500 and get the whole thing.

Lol well we will see how it comes out, I dont have extra money right now since I had to pay for stuff for my vacation to NY for christmas for me and my girlfriend. So trying to save $500 in the middle of this is not going to happen, and the body shop/insurance company wants this done because they are paying for the rental car. What site did you get your body kit from IS or evo?
