Okay, so I made the mistaken assumption that the 2000 was close enough and bought hi-beam and lo-beam cool blues for our 2001 tib. Nope, completely wrong connector ( silly me for not looking ahead of time ).

So, does anyone know what bulbs to get for a 2001 tib?

H1 for high beam and H7 for low beam.

 

2000 and 2001 do share headlight high and low beam bulbs.

All first gen use 9005 Highs and 9006 Low's with H3 Fog lights.

All second gens use H1 Highs and H7's low, and still use H3 Foggies.

 

Thanks. Yeah, the book I looked up the numbers in had the 9005/9006 listed for the 2000 tib. ****ty canadian tire books.

Huh? So 2000 Canadian Tiburon is actually first gen?

 

Nope. The catalogues in some stores are incorrect. They say that the 2000 headlights are the same as 1999.
Look at my sig. It is a 2000 = 2nd gen.
