Changing Password?
Alright... last time I got my car painted (when body kit was installed) I didn't know anything about paint (still don't). Come to find out the idiot who sprayed my car used some type of Acrylic paint where the clear is mixed in already? I guess people know what I'm talking about, but I want it done right this time. Can somebody let me know what type of paint I should use? I'm only going to be respraying my car, and don't really care for a $2,000 paint job. A friend is going to do it for me, but I want to make sure he uses the right stuff.
Visionz? Help me buddy? :?

I saw Visionz post something on HA (I believe) that said using black primer will be out the true color better.... would this still apply to white? I didn't know if using a white primer would be better for the white paint... especially since I will be scraping my front end, and don't want black shining through if I eventually scrape all the paint away...

As for the primer, for lighter colored cars, you want lighter colored primer. Either white, grey, or blue primer will be ok.
As far as what type of paint, you want a dual stage paint system. Meaning seperate color and clear. wink.gif

*LMAO* Shows ya how busy I've been and how much time I've had on the boards. oops.gif Thankfully things are calming down with regular work, and at the shop so I have time now to hang out on the forums. Well, until the end of the winter months when the shop get bombarded with people wanting stuff done to their rides. :?
