Umm..who told you H.O.C. only comes in a quart or pint??? I get it in gallons all the time when I paint other people's cars.

As far as how much is needed a gallon will give you between 3-5 coats of paint..depending on the application. I usually use a gallon and a half for paint, a gallon clear, and a quart of primer (if I'm sanding the vehicle down to bare metal).

What type of H.O.C. paint were you looking at getting?

Yeah..I painted my buddy's s-10 in black and white marble. But there's another cool trick that modern day painters do in order to get a marble look to the their paint. It involves LOTS of saran wrap.

Basically, you shoot the paint, and lay saran wrap over the top and then peel it away. Do some light sanding until it's smooth, and then clear. (There's a little more to it than that, but you get the idea) It's a really sweet effect. But my personal opinion on it, is that it doesn't look right on cars. Especially a Tib.

Hmm..I wonder why the website said they're only selling certain colors in such small containers. The 3 types of paint I usually use are house Of Color, Dupont, and PPG. Usually if one of my customers wants a sweet paint job, but doesn't have that much, I have them buy Dupont. PPG is what alot of body shops use, and H.O.C. is pretty much show quality top of the line. But I go through a shop that distributes the different types to local body/collision places. So that's why I'm able to get everything in gallons and stuff.
