Ok, so a couple of weeks back, some asshat snapped off my antenna while I was spinnin at a club. I bought a new antenna, and this is where my dilema begins. Allow me to explain through the use of a pic:

As you can see, in the red box...it shows the very base of the antenna where it screws into the antenna mount. The base is a bit rusted, and absolutely WILL NOT turn. Ive blasted the hell out of it with WD-40 and PB Blaster. Nothing! The damn thing will just not turn.
However, when I do turn the base of the antenna, the chrome top mount of the antenna base (blue part) turns with it some.
Now here's the thing. I'm not about to apply heat to it with a torch, because I dont want to take the chance in hurting the paint. Also, I was told that the chrome part of the antenna does unscrew, but I went out and bought one of these:

Its a universal antenna wrench. However, it fits every other freaking car, except a damn tiburon! mad.gif laugh.gif
So, how in the hell do I get the bottom of that antenna off so I can replace it?

take off paneling in hatch around the area of the antenna
unscrew "chrome antenna top mount"
undo one bolt behind hatch paneling at bottom of actual antenna base(about a foot lower than exposed part of antenna - can see once you take off paneling)
pull out entire antenna assembly from the bottom
put in bench vise with vice grips on the other end and use some muscle.

So I just got to know, are you turning counterclockwise ?............lol
I do know that the thread is a m7x1 pitch so if you drill it out you'll have to buy the right tap.Oh ya the multi wrench you bought is American product so of course it is S.A.E.(Inch)What you need is a multi wrench that is made in Korea,as it is Metric.lol

Guys, he isn't a n00b to all of this, lol. He already knows the antenna base will turn out, but he just wants to take the antenna itself out. You may want to try a heat gun instead of a torch. It will heat it up some, but won't damage your paint like a torch would. If that doesn't work, pull the bish all the way out!
