Uhm, I don't understand.
The first picture in the thread is of a like rear lip kit.
The other pictures are some huge piece that goes under the rear?
WTF does that thing go? Why is it so friggin big?
What's it made out of?
I think we need some better "Installed" pics, what it's made of, how heavy it is, DIY or not.
Looks cool in the first pic, but that huge thing, I just don't understand.

^^^ when installed all you can see is the outer portion of it. it extends under the car for a short bit in order to create a little more down force on the vehicle. It looks to be made of fiberglass.

I have some of this cleared up by Socks, but GK pics don't help out RD owners.

on the top of that piece, the edge that is facing up towards the wall is the part you will be able to see extending slightly down off the rear bumper. it also acts as a diffuser, so it isnt just a lip.
i wouldnt spend 400 dollars for something like that. i could make a lip out of fiberglass to give the same look for like 40 bucks and a couple days worth of time.
see if ajay would make something similiar.

The second pic doesnt look anything like the first pic. Or maybe because i just didnt imagen it that big. Anyway, it looks like it's made out of Fiberglass which i wouldnt like, i would prefer it in plastic. But if we cant get it in plastic i would be on this, just that i have to save up some money.

Or you could get some generic ABS ones from one of the many shops online and put it on.
It looks like it's made of ABS, not FG, but the problem is, how do we know the one in the pics is the RD one?
How do you know it'll fit with your fancy expensive ass exhaust on (apexi>diffuser)?
I'd want to know the following to even consider it.
1. Made of?
2. Made FOR the RD? Or are we cobbling together something from the GK?
3. Weight?
4. Will it fit with the stock exhaust or do you have to run a center mounted one now? Will it fit the Apexi/Flyryde exhaust routing (under the rear arm)?

looks like its ABS plastic to me.. but could just be painted FG.
it looks like the one for the rd and GK are same exact one.. look at the pics closely, even the sides of it look exactly the same.
doesn't look like itll accept the apexi or underaxle exhaust, but you could just cut the diffuser to fit it, and it wouldnt affect the look of it from behind.
if you look at my first pic, you dont have to run a center mounted exhaust..
this looks like something that was made for the gk and fits the rd2..
