Alright guys, so i might be getting a VS Knockoff rear bumper for free for a 01 tiburon. And i want it, but i have a 97 tib, so i have to convert it to a 01 style. Which i know i need the bumper and tails lights. What else? i think it would look really cool, get a tib with rd1 front and rd2 back laugh.gif Thx

alot of body work to get the tail lights to fits which means fender and tail gate mods to fit not to mention that the vs knockoffs suck and you need to get that worked also

maybe since it's the knockoff it'll bolt right up and everything will fit perfectly for you tongue.gif

the hatch will need to be modified, probably replaced. i believe someone said that the rear fenders were the same between both rd models.

this bumper fits perfect.....its a knockoff,but no work needed, already been on a car.

as the bumper is probably glassfibre.. it would probably be easier to modify it to fit your existing taillamps and hatch. It would also be more unique that way.

how about the same question for the front? could i make it go around my headlights on rd1?

well.. considering that to replace the headlights on your tib with that of the RD2, you need to replace the radiator mount/crossbrace. It would probably be easier. To make your tib look like an RD2 requires some experienced welding to replace that part.

the hatches are different, but the rear 1/4 panels are the same.

hmmmm... well i guess i would have to get a new hatch.. or my uncle could fabricate it to work. But i would get new tail lights from the rd2, they = sexxy smile.gif And the front i will probably swap also.
