Has anyone run them and if so where did you buy them? I hate that oxidation/fade/nasty crap that happens to the lights. I was also thinking about adding a yellow film to the fogs, but I am not sure if I am going to go yellow/green on the car like that, heh.

Your headlights will fade and yellow unless they are glass. US regulations don't allow glass headlights. Guess where that leaves you?
To fix the eventual damage, you will need to use a kit that includes a hard-coat UV curing sealer. Removing the oxidation haze will only be a temporary fix . . . and the stuff doesn't come cheap.

I looked around for a few minutes and had trouble finding a good answer to that question. If anyone has found a long-term test I would like to see it out of curiosity. I DID find that some films will fade/yellow and some people have success with a few UV protective coatings they apply when they wax the car. Most people who cared enough to do anything seem to just wax the lights at car washing time.
Unless you plan to keep the car for several decades, using a restore/seal kit every few years is a viable option IMO

Im still sold on the Run Rite head light restoration kit. used it some time ago and they look as new as the day I restored them, about a year ago. The money shot is the factory hard coat in a can, after sanding off the oxidation you hit it with this stuff and bam... new headlights. As far as how long it will last is still to be determined but it has already lasted twice as long as other products (6 months) before the oxidation returns. the crappy part, the hardcoat can cost my company 110 bux or so and that was are demo cost, can will do 15 sets of headlights. The other crappy part is it's not available to the end user, you will need to have a company do it that carries the run rite product.

Sounds like a plan. I couldn't find any info on if that stuff actually protects it from that crap AND that might be a PITA to get it on those headlights anyway... without screwing it up. I do plan on keeping this thing for a bit, but if I have a restore kit/technique that works I can go with that. I used a kit on the XD and it went to hell a few months after, maybe I shouldn't have gone with such a cheap kit.
