Targa is when the a section of the roof is removable, all the way across.

T-Tops leave a center beam, Targa tops don't have a center beam.

Lo/Sho -

I realize you do this stuff mostly for autoshows, but I would think that getting a targa conversion would do HORRID things to your gas mileage, man... I had a Del Sol for a while, and the coolest part of that targa was the fact that you could roll down the rear window, and cut down on the drag for air passing through the compartment...kinda like pickup truck owners that remove their tailgates or get mesh gates installed.

But a targa top on a hatchback...it'd be cool if there was a way to get the rear window to roll down Del Sol style, but there's just no place for that hunk of glass to GO!

But, like I said...this is primarily a driving concern, not a showroom one. And it all goes away once you put the top back in.

Thoughts?

Iago..yeah..no doubt. I figured that when I decided how to do the targa conversion. But now I'm thinking about something different. When I had my lowriders, I had a sliding rag top on each one. I really liked that idea, except they were real easy to open from the outside. If I can figure out how to have more security with a sliding rag top, then I might go for that. No one ever said building custom rides were easy! rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

To answer your question about the dome lamp in aftermarket sunroofs, they move the dome lamp back. Some smaller sunroofs don't require the dome lamp to be moved because there just small enough to fit in that area.
