Well, after a painful visit to the dentist.. walked into my house and noticed a pretty box with my name all over it.. Oh heavens me.. what could this be?

Finally, i decided.. one way to find out.. i read the bill!.. My Clear Tails!!

ok, so box open.. look in.. each lense is seperated from each other with a square W or M pattern(depends how you look at the box).. bubble wraped and that foam wrap..

So, the Right tail light first..all wiring harness there.. bulbs there.. and multi-colored plugs(interesting)..

Left.. same speal.. exxcept!.. no multy colored plugs.. all in PC beige(shutter).. and my glee.. turned to frown to find out that one fo the bolts/attaching thingie.. is broken right off.. Pondering if this can be Krazy Glued back on.. or.. use Liquid Model Cement (guys, this s**t is great.. i smashed my dad's tail light one night, and used this Liquid glue.. and for 4 years (until the car got smoked).. it held together.. it melts the plastic.)

So, ya.. CTs' have arrived.. next to install them (chrome on a silver car)..

will bring picturs of that one

** update **

ok, after 5 attempts of flipping a coin to see if i should install it.. i thought about the good and bad points.. bad over weighed the good.. so i installed em anyways..

Observations (pictures to come)..

1) They look great in chrome, on a silver car.. dramatically changes the attitude..

2a) Fitment.. the thing everyone wants to know.. they fit.. sort of.. the bolts are about 1mm(give or take) off from the hole.. they fit in, and you can secure them.. but the thin metal that divides the bolt and the nut will bend to compensate.

2b) The sides closer to the middle, fit well.. (I m keeping in mind, this is their first set(attempt?) for Gen1 lamps..).. the side to the outter side, are about 1/4 - 1/8 of an inch out of spec. Mainly, to the back of the lamp.. they do not mesh correctly, nor do they even touch near the top end.. (posssible reason why Clear silicone is require to prevent misting).

2c) the contor of the clear lens, is not like the original version.. it looks similar.. but you do notice a difference when looking at if if you just came out the door.

3) the lamps, are not orange

4) They work.. and fit well, with the inside lamp cover on, there is enough space inside the lamp to tuck in the connectors.

---- It is raining now, so no pictures yet.. perhaps this weekend when temps get into the double digits.

Final say: for the price I have sen tail lights between the 100.oo to 250.oo mark.. USD.. forr for 180.oousd for these things.. is about a resonable price.. for the coolness ya.. fo the quality.. i would sell them brand new for 120-130 because of the fitment issue. Not bad, i would not buy another pair though.. but not a bad thing.

i'm having about the same fitment and issues w/ my second gen ones. Damn stud broke off pass side, can't figure out how to get them off the stock assembly (w/o breaking them).

I'm going to see if i can find a screw w/ the same dimensions and see if the mechanic down the street has a welder and will weld the fvcking thing on.

SIDE NOTE

I bought my second gen ones from 4caroption on Ebay, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

I spent a week waiting to hear back from them. they did not answer emails. I spent 30 fvcking minutes on HOLD for a god damn tracking number, hung up called back asked for a manager or owner, had it in three minutes. C/S (if you can call it that) was WORSE THAN SR's (anybody ever think THAT was possible???). Oh and i did finally get an email w/ the tracking number (A WEEK AND A HALF AFTER MY ORDER WAS DELIVERED). IF you want to save money GO AHEAD AND ORDER FROM THEM. (117 SHIPPED from cali to va)

I never will again.

I'd see if you had S/H insurance and get reimbursed.
