Default measures, what a dilemma

Hi to everybody.

I am new here, and i am not from here.
Please don't take fun of me for my English. smile.gif

I came from a s__t state, Italy.

Looking at the veilside body-kit for my tiburon 2000, i am falling in love.
European law for car-modding is very restrictive.

For an omologation i need a certificate, but no one make one.
I need to know how much long is a tibi with the veilside kit.

If someone can help me out.

You want to know the story?

In Italy is:

If you want a body-kit in your car. It doesn't have to :

increase the length of the car more than 3 cms (1,18')
increase the width of the car more than 6 cms (2,36')
have sharp and pointed parts. (safety measures)
Be of solid materials.(safety measures)
Have a certificate of European conformity (a stupid piece of paper in which the maker of the kit certifies the voices above writings)

I want to make me an idea of how much i have to cut the bumpers.... =((
Beside Here in europe, Parking light are compulsory, so also for those i have to cut the front bumper.

I have E-mailed All the online shop i have found for a technical schedule with measure of that body-kit......no one reply

If no one reply i cannot introduce the kit at the authority of transportation, and never know what i have to do for legale my "veilside" car.

Thx for your help

You probably are going to have to hack up the Veilside pretty bad, thats really strict. 3CM front to back, the Veilside looks like it does three times more than that in the front alone.

Go with a different kit (save you some trouble).
Or don't go with a kit at all (save you the MOST trouble)

spend your money on making your car the fastest tiburon in Italy (unless they're strict-asses about emission/hp regulations as well......hope not.

"making your car the fastest tiburon in Italy"

In europe (except France and Germany)

NO OTHER MODIFICATION ARE PERMITTED

Other than Little body kit adjustment.... one strut bar..... rear colored glasses..... wheels.... not a single screw more....

All this adjustment have to be omologated from the Ministry of Transportation local office . (if the car pass their """EXAMINATION""")

oh....well, I'm sorry. If I was rich I'd fly you out to the U.S. to put you and your tiburon out of your misery.

.......oh, and your only breaking the "rules" if you get caught!

I have forgot...

Exhaust (only if it don't increase emission, and noise)(they beleave that little child can be brain-damaged).

Here you can't buy a cheap car and spend your money making it the fastest, and watch a porche carrera doesn't succeed to stay on your back......

They say :" Buy a Lamborghini Gallardo!!!! "

Here in italy...

They don't need to catch you. They send you a letter and you have to pay.... (money (a lot), time ( a lot),driver license)

Ahhh. I remember...

If they catch you, and they suppose your car has something different from stock in your engine ,or brake system ,etc....., say goodbye to your car.

Thats insane! Can you do any weight reduction? It helps a lot if you cant do any hp increases. One they wouldnt notice is the metal piece in the glove box or cf hood and say it is for looks also sunroof and hatch if you really want weight reduction
Sorry about the situation I thought Italy would be a lot of modified cars because of Lam and Frarria, wrong spelling
