Ok so I after my alarm shorted out I figured it was the cause for my left side parking lights and my lighting in my gauge cluster to go out.

Well I took it to Circuit City and they fixed the alarm saying it was just the fuse....which is BS because I checked them...but anyways..it works now.

but they're saying there is a short in the electrical system that caused the short in the alarm and they cant find it.

Here is the Details....

LFT SIDE TAIL LAMP FUSE (underhood fuse box)
continues to blow even if the alarm is disconnected.

ive tried disconnecting the entire tail light assembly, the front parking light assembly and even the dimmer switch and put a new fuse into the fusebox and it blows everytime so ive kind of narrowed the short down.

ive taken the voltmeter and measured the resistence from the left side of the fuse terminal and it has a reading of .05 whereas the right side is open. meaning there is a short on the left side of the circuit but i dont know what side that is as far as (under hood vs. interior cabin)

i havent hooked anything up to the parking lights on the left side so it has to be some stock wiring that is shorting out somewhere.

there is so many possibilities that i dont want to go through and check. anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Where does your alarm connect to the parking lights at? Dimmer switch?
