Left front lights out, bulb replacement ...
Saturday night I took a friend of mine out for his birthday and as we're driving back I was behind my sister's hubby in his 66(?) Malibu (sweet car). My phone rings and it's him calling to tell me that my driver's side fog light is out. :/ A couple of hours later, my sister calls to tell me the same thing (she was in her huge monster truck driving in front of her hubby).
No problem, I'll just check the fuses and replace the bulb when I get the time...
Fast forward to last night.
I get in my car to go to the store, turn on the lights...something seems wrong. I get out of the car and look and now my driver's side headlight is out too! :/
Strange coincidence, eh?
I check the fuses and they all seem fine. Hmm...
I'm going outside in a few to take a look at the bulbs. I noticed that it's a tight spot that I need to get into to remove the headlight bulb (it seems the battery needs to come out to get a screwriver in there) and I assume the foglight bulb needs to be accessed from underneath.
So this leaves me with a few questions.
What bulbs do I need to pick up for replacements?
Any tips on getting these out?
Is this just a strange coincidence, or is there possibly more to this than meets the eye?
Btw, this is a 2001 Tib
Any comments are appreciated.

LOL!
Yup, it's under warranty, but it would be truely disgraceful for me to take my car in to the dealer to have a lightbulb replaced...
...but holy moly they are a PITA to change! Never had such a hard time replacing a freakin bulb before! Ugh!

That's why you go to the dealer. First gen headlights/fog lights are a little easier...but the Gen2 are a certified PITA
OK, here's another tip... I have a 2k1 tib... I didn't have to remove the battery or use a screw driver... that metal wire that holds the bulb in is hooked on the non-screwed in side. You can unhook it by pushing down on it til it comes up and swings out of the way pull out the bulb and reload! No tools needed!!
