Default LED Running Lights

After 12 months of the most awesome success from my DDM Tuning HIDs I am finally dropping in some H3s to put my fogs back online. It's not really a "problem" so much, but since both the fogs and headlights are nice clear 6Ks the yellow-ish running lights (the ones on the stock RD2 bumper between both) seem out of place. I was looking at Diode Dynamics an a few of their kits and had some questions:

1.) First off, I am reading that the normal bulb is a 1157. Is this correct? I could walk out there and take out but I'm lazy.

2.) Secondly, has anyone installed LEDs in the stock bumper? I was looking at these but it looks like they only come in red I saw some other much cheaper brands but I fear that they are just that. Really looking for input here.

3.) There is also this kit. It's a 31x47mm board which should fit in that housing when modded into the plastic backing (if not there is a smaller 6 LED board) but I worry that it won't provide the same illumination to fill the lens, and that it's going to look like one of those ricey faux Audi LED bars.

Really needs some feedback here. Thanx in advance

Well, the only bulbs I've got are in the instrument cluster, (interior is next year's project) but I've got some cheap azz ebay T10 smd lights in the front markers(think I paid $2 for 'em) and have had them in for over a year with no problems.

My front signals are smd too and again over a year with no problems. They too are the cheapest that I had found.

That's pretty reassuring. I was worried about the price being a note of the quality. Seen lots of them for about 1/4 or less than DD's units but worried about getting cheap crap. I'll look into those

That's pretty much what I am looking for.

Not sure if it's the image, but I kind of expected more fill like a stock bulb. Or is that just the nature of LEDs? The ones at DD looked like they had LEDs around the perimeter to accommodate, but again only in red.

You can get ones from ebay with the smd filaments (I guess you can call them) pointing in other directions as well as forward. They cost a bit more tho.

So these are what I'm basically looking at?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2PCS-...ht_7349wt_1165

For a couple bucks more that have some 68 SMD, but that looks far too long for the housing. Also, what is a good brand to trust? I'm still iffy on ebay brands especially those shipping from Hong Kong.

Will the fanning bulbs give any cleaner results?

Looks small enough to fit but the housing is pretty tiny

Those spider ones would work better as your brake lights. Probably too big for the markers. DTN has a pair, or at least had a pair. Don't know if it was the same company.

As for the Hong Kong companies, Honestly, I've yet to have a problem with them. I had one T10 burn out on me once, contacted the seller, and they sent me 2 no charge.

Most people I've dealt with on Ebay have been really helpful when issues arise. It's just the 3 week waiting period for the product to arrive that always got to me.

BTW, these are the marker style that I was referring to. T 10 style. I'd usually look up "T10 smd" then type what color I wanted in the search box.

Big thanks! Yeah, I though the housing was way to small to house 11/2357's.

I found some west coast sellers with free shipping and nice pricetags so I'm going to give this a shot.
