Anyone up for it?

I think it would be easy to modify my SR Euro tails like that. Not sure I want to try without a spare set though.

They look pretty cool but....... Always a but I know, I have LED's in the turn signals in the rear. I used to have them in the brake lights. Needless to say at night they do look great but during the day they are almost impossible to see.

i have those black type CD-R's., not a bad idea, i could probably stick that in somewhoere, but i dont wanna over do it. That would look perfect on the Chevy Impala's rear lights.

A really good idea. I love the look of LED's, but that looks like alot of effort to do that.

^^^I'd have to second that...Looks pretty cool, but you better really like those lights to put the amount of time in that it appears it would take.

lol....

fog lights. i did some calculations(nothing is certain because the conversion from lumen to mcd is very rough) but they should be about 3 times as bright.

i will have no halogen in my car, except the headlights. maybe in time, those will be gone too.

i got tons of boards. tails will be fully leds, with a little twist. i just gotta get off my ass and do it.

Wow.

I'm sure that will appear bright to other drivers, but how well will it illuminate the road? I guess the fogs don't do much as it is, just the first few visible feet from the car to where the headlights kick in. Nice work, quite a bit of sanding on those outside LEDs.

BTW, I ordered some 5mm and 3mm blue, red and a few orange LEDs from a Hong Kong seller, it's only a matter of time before my gauges are completely redone. Never mind the fact that I wasted $75 on plugin bulbs from superbrightleds.com. I'm going to get the "Shark" logo lit up in orange and red, and probably do your needle mod but in red. I'm now obsessed with LEDs. laugh.gif

Edit: Ditch the halogen, get an HID setup. smile.gif A fraction of the current draw and so much brighter. That's my plan. But I'll be upgrading the alternator and battery first.

yea... I am working on it as well. When I am done.. only my fogs and highbeams will be incandescent, The lows will be HID and the rest will be LED.
