If Plastidip existed back in the day
Lets say plastidip came out back in the late 90s early 00s. Do you guys think it would have taken off and been as big as it is now with car people? Dip and vinyl wraps are the big thing in the industry now a days because it's quick, somewhat cheap and not permanent. I think it would have been pretty popular, especially if it came out when the first fast and furious movie was released.

In a way it's not much different. Back then then "street cred" was handed out for "cool" stickers and body decals.
Today it's mostly about solid colors and clean exteriors, but with vinyl and dip I fail to see much difference in application.
A good professional dip can set you back a few pennies, but so many people are buying cheap cans of it at home depot for DIY, or even going with an exterior only sans jambs it's not much different.
