QUOTE (SOCKS @ Mar 3 2007, 10:38 AM)
the one vent looks good and with a good mesh in there it wouldn't let anything in.. and it wouldn't be weak at all. there is plenty enough structure to that piece. unless you punch the thing, its not gonna crack. but for the mesh, i would really think about getting some real plastic mesh custom inserts in there.. it would hold up alot better over time and give it a more stock feel.

Good point.

When can we have them?

I'm emailing them the renderings tonight, as well as the pics of the stock pieces so they know what they're looking for. I should have some good news tomorrow about when this can happen. When I get back from NYC I'll drop off my RD2 for as long as they need it to get the Evo hood test fit, the cowlings test fit, the Type S skirts, Type R skirts, and WB Shark Fenders fitted and molded with a small modifying as well. I might as well have them fit up the Wings West spoiler they have there, and mod it to fit the RD2 hatch. This should put all projects on a steady path to completion. While only the RD2 Evo and the Cowlings will be done to start with, the other products should be ready very soon. I should have the Type S rears ready when I get back, we'll test fit them, and then need an OEM front and back to finish the RD2 kit.

Figure if they find the cowl, now that they know what it needs to look like from both the front and back angle, they can just make it happen and we should have something to show you guys in FG or CF come the start of April, just in time for the launch of V.2 FlyRyde smile.gif After that, since the mold will be done, we simply make sure its going to fit on my RD2 (since this time it'll be a production piece rather than the test fitted prototype I'll have fitted on there in the next two weeks).

ok whatever you and them think will work best. i agree that a $700 cowling won't sell. hey as long as it's carbon fiber and it's simple im definitely paying for a part that will look great, won't fade, and one piece.

these will sell. let's just get them in production and move along. that's all i ask for now. thanks for the update. ny is some city, hope you're livin' it up.

Hell yeah I am. I saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway tonight, and some 4 year old little asian kid and his whole damn family sat behind us, and the little guy was clearing his throat HARD every second or two for the first 45 minutes. So after tons of looking back and getting to the point I was about to take his dad outside and smack him silly, intermission finally came, and my pop went to speak with the manager in his office. We were moved to the front balcony and watched the rest of the show there with room to stretch out our legs and see the actors and musicians up close and personal!

One of the most surreal nights of my life! NYC is undoubtedly some place to visit.

i know you're fixing up the rd2 mess, but is there any way this product will be see the day of light before May 15? i'm going to be in europe for the summer and will not have any internet or means of contact and i don't think there is a way around it.

man i sure hope this is going ok... if it is and does i'll run around my neighborhood tearing through the streets nippleless and naked shouting rampant slurs.

I'll have some news about this part this week for sure man. Just keep on me about it, and I'll keep it on the top of the list. I'll make a note in my planner right now to get an update today. Thanks!
