Got my lip and grill today from the body shop. They were painted to match my car. How long do I have to wait before I can apply polish and wax to them?
^ Nice reply
You should wait a minimum of 4-6 weeks so the paint has time to cure. Some people will say 3-6 months, but since the OP is in San Diego, it gets pretty warm alot of the times which means the paint will cure at a much quicker rate versus someone who lives in cold snowy winter environments this time of the year. Dont use any rubbing compound and dont use a buffer/polisher if possible. Wax the new parts by hand and dont do it in the sun...always in a shaded, cool area.

The reply was as useful as the information supplied by the OP about the paint they put on the car. The proper party to ask this question is the manufacturer of the paint system!
