In my neverending quest to make my cars totally unique.. I have pulled the proverbial rabbit out of the hat. While scanning through ebay, I found a pair of hood vents for the Ford Cosworth Escort... I won them today! I thought these would look nice molded into a CF hood...
and here they are on the excort in question.
Now all I need is a CF hood, the F2 evo front bumper... some custom side skirts, rear bumper, and a small ducktail spoiler.. and my car will be ready for paint.

I just like to "borrow" from other cars... and this is a unique and semi-subtle way (on a dark green car) to get the heat out from under my hood.

Yeah, I think it will look ok. Just hard to imagine after seeing it on that Escort is all. I think they will mold in well and look good. Now all you have to do is finish your shopping list. lol.gif

functionality is the key word to my car... but that does not equate ghetto.. I also have a sense of aesthetics that requires most everything I put on the car to look good AND be functional.. makes for an expensive shopping list

lets see.. items I have "borrowed" or am going to borrow from other cars..
Fiat Coupe Mirrors (better than the usual "M3" style
BMW side markers in my trunk for interior lights
Subaru WRX style fog lights (modded into my eventual to get F2 bumper)
GM hidden windshield washers
pugeot 206 Rear fogs.. one standard, one a "lexus" style
Pontiac Grandprix style (Making this myself) rear trunk spoiler.. this is the NEW grandprix.. with the little itty bitty spoiler
Molding a new rear bumper... fitted to look like the rear of the Porsche Boxster S with the centre exhaust cut out
I am thinking about using Mitsu side markers in the fenders... off of their new miniute
if I can get glass fenders... I will be molding in some vents like the RX8
There are a couple of other things.. I am buying some Hot Rod goodies.. aluminum round vents, brake and clutch resevours, Power steering Res, maybe even coolant.. it should be quite unique when I am done.

woohoo.. vents came in today.. along with my new centre console (to replace the stock one with the big open bin with the FX version with the arm rest/ covered storage) and the Mustang Bullet aluminun shifter bezel. That one is going to take some modding to fit perfectly.. but that is why I bought the auto shift surround from Blacktibs..
